Listening area residents could see drop in electric bill

Some Missouri residents could see a slight drop in their electric bill in the future.

Evergy, former known as Kansas City Power and Light, has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission so they can adjust their Demand Side Investment Mechanism. The DSIM is a charge that appears as a separate line-item on customer's bills.

Residents could see a charge drop by nearly one dollar and 50 cents, if the application is approved. Evergy serves most of the counties in our listening area in Missouri.
